DESCRIPTION:UPDATE\nWe had still hoped to be able to run the London to Brighton bike ride this year\, but in light of the restrictions for events with COVID-19\, we have decided to cancel this years event. \nHowever\, we are hoping to run a Virtual London to Brighton ride. you can take place by joining our club on Strava (https://www.strava.com/clubs/22268/leaderboard). Sign up and take a ride over the course of a week of more than 46 miles and we’ll say thank you in some way on Social Media. \n\nTake Part\nRide for us solo or as part of a team. However you ride\, you’ll be amongst friends on our Royal Marsden Hospital to Brighton Bike Ride. \nThe Royal Marsden Hospital to Brighton Bike Ride is Emma’s Bubble Trust’s flagship event covering 46 miles from the teenage cancer ward at the hospital to the buzz at Brighton beach. \nThe event is aimed at riders of all ages and abilities. Please note that we try to stick together as a riding group\, so if you’re a more advanced rider\, please let us know. \nSign up to this event that takes you from city to coast\, passing through beautiful Sussex countryside. After arriving in Brighton\, we’ll make our way to the Brighton Rocks pub to celebrate. Share the triumph of conquering the The Royal Marsden Hospital to Brighton Bike Ride with your friends\, family and fellow riders. \nYour efforts will help to fund our flat for teenage cancer patients and their families to stay while receiving treatment at the hospital. \nGeneral Information\n\nThe Royal Marsden Hospital to Brighton Bike Ride is a 46 mile event\nThe Bike Ride follows a route through the Surrey and Sussex countryside\, starting at The Royal Marsden Hospital (Sutton) and ending in Brighton at the Pier\nThe event is for cyclists of all abilities\, however if you’re a pro then you may find the event a little slow\nThere is no minimum sponsorship…every little helps\nThe cost of entry is £20\n\nYounger riders\nThe bike ride is a family event so we welcome riders aged 14 and above. If you are aged between 14 – 17 years old and would like to take part in the ride\, you can only sign up by joining with a guardians consent. \nStart times\nWe try to start at 9am\, so please arrive early to setup your bike and warm up. There will be riders acting as guides\, to support all riding abilities. We try to keep together as a group. DESCRIPTION:We’re pleased to announce this years Emma’s Masquerade Ball 2019 will be taking place on Saturday 7th December at Woodlands Park Hotel in Surrey. \nThe event starts promptly at 6.30pm\, with festivities kicking off straight away. The 3 course meal will follow welcome drinks and then we’ll get into an evening of games and this year a great volume of auction prizes up for grabs. A DJ will kick off the dance floor following the auction with the evening will finishing at midnight. \nThe venue is a little way away from major train stations so if you are booking taxi’s it’s advised to do so in advance. \nPlease remember that this years ball has a masquerade theme and we encourage everyone to go as whacky as possible in covering up their faces! SUMMARY:Tracy Fox's London Marathon 2019
DESCRIPTION:Hi I’m Tracy. A humble amateur “runner”. I found running once my brother bought me an Xmas present to entry into Reading Half. This was due to me watching the London Marathon every year and telling him “Al\, one day I will run a marathon” …..always inspired but never taking the leap into signing up….. \nWell\, I have to date run 70 odd marathons but always wanted to run London\, applying every year (×7). \nAdam and I volunteered at London last year with Sutton Runners. After ticking a few more boxes was able to qualify to get into SR ballot. I was aware when the draw was happening but NEVER thought I would ever get into London. \nI was drawn out the hat and I have been training to try to get a bit faster. I would dearly love to run for Emma’s Bubble Trust as the story and the cause is something which is close to my heart. I have never until now asked for donations but this is a special one for a special charity. \nEmma’s Bubble Trust is a fabulous charity which supports young people and their families who have been diagnosed with cancer. \nEmma was a normal 16 year old from a local school\,  who suddenly after her 16th birthday was struck down with cancer.  \nAs a school teacher this I feel is a truly worthy cause.

DESCRIPTION:Our annual London to Brighton Bike Ride is now in it’s 9th year! We started the event as a bit of a fun run with many riders having never cycled before. It’s become a big event with riders of all ages and ability on what is still very much a fun ride. Basil will also be making his regular appearance on the piano!
