DESCRIPTION:Ashtead’s much-loved local barbers\, Ben & Fis\, are celebrating an incredible milestone – 10 years in business! \nFor a decade\, Ben & Fis have been at the heart of the Ashtead community\, providing quality haircuts\, friendly service\, and a welcoming space for customers of all ages. Now\, they’re marking their 10th anniversary in a way that truly reflects their community spirit. \nSupporting Local Charities\nBoth Ben and Fis recently shared that they wanted the celebrations to give back to the local community. That’s why they’ll be donating half of all takings from the day to us at Emma’s Bubble Trust\, with the remaining 50% going to James’ Jar of Gifts (a wonderful charity setup to honour much beloved James who sadly passed away aged 7 to a very rare and life threatening immune disorder). \nWe were overwhelmed and incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by the in choosing to support local causes during such an important milestone and can’t wait to partner with James’ Jar of Gifts on the day. \nJoin the Ben & Fis 10th Anniversary Celebration\nIf you’ve ever had a haircut at Ben & Fis\, or simply want to support a fantastic local business and two great causes\, we’d love to see you there. SUMMARY:Ben Nevis Climb
DESCRIPTION:Mr. Blonde (Andy)\, Lynchie (Adam)\, The Drunk One (Matt)\, Rasta (Russ) and Alec (to be named) have decided to take on a challenge in 2026 to take on the infamous climb of Ben Nevis. It’s been a long time since we all took on a challenge together and currently being in our 40th year…decided that it would be a good idea to get it out of our systems. \nWe’ve all been long term supporters of the charity Emma’s Bubble Trust (in fact Adam is a trustee on the board now) and knowing how much good this charity does\, we wanted to raise some money. \nFor those of you that don’t know Emma’s Bubble Trust is a teenage cancer charity setup to alleviate the physical and emotional suffering of teenagers with cancer. The charity was setup in 2008 after the sad and sudden passing of Emma Brandon (a family friend of Adam). We’ve all been involved in the charity since that time\, taking part in bike rides\, runs\, walks\, triathlons and the yearly ball. We all love the charity and with a new goal to raise significant funds for a new property to add to the charities portfolio (which houses patients while they’re having treatment). \nWe’d love for you to help us and egg us on with a donation. \nhttps://www.justgiving.com/page/ebt-ben-nevis-climb-2025

DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at Ashtead Village Fair for our annual Soft Toy Tombola! Known as the Ashtead Rotary Village Day and run by Ashtead Rotary Club (https://www.rotary-ribi.org/clubs/homepage.php?ClubID=1436)\, it’s an event loved by all. The best thing about the day is seeing all the children win some amazing cuddly toys! \nIf you’re looking to donate soft toys to us\, then please contact lynn.brandon@emmasbubbletrust.org. \nAt the 2025 event ticket prices for the event were £4.00 if bought in advance or £6.00 if bought on the gate.
